Department of Anatomy is one of the Basic science department established in the year 2008 with the start of first batch of medical students. Anatomy Department has a well qualified, dedicated teaching staffs headed by Professor DR.B.A DEVAIAH
ANATOMY DISSECTION HALL
Anatomy dissection Hall is well established with the good collection of specimens, models and charts, which provides congenial atmosphere for the learning approach. Department has museum, which has good collections of specimens to enable student to understand structure of Human body.

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY
The department is one of the Departments of the Medical College. The Department is lead by Dr. B. Udayashanker with a well qualified and experienced Faculty strength of 10. Physiology teaching mainly focuses on clinical orientation of students to basic body functions.
The Department of Physiology has an experienced faculty with excellent well equipped laboratories, seminar hall and demonstration halls. The department library has 100 books and 4 journals for the use of the staff as well as students. The excellent features of this department would be the Research Laboratory with modern equipments such as Bicycle Ergograph, Physiograph, Spirometers, Mosso’s Ergograph, Benedict - Roth Apparatus which the students would handle and participate in small Experimental Research Projects during, their first year study period. |

DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY MEDICINE
Community medicine is the one of the subjects medical students study in their first year Study is an orientation towards protection & Promotion of Public Health. The study of health and disease in the population of defined communities or groups in order to identify their health needs, and to plan, implement, and evaluate health programs to effectively meet these needs.
The Institute provides outreach services through A Rural Health Centre and an Urban Health Centre located in peripheral areas. These centers coordinate various activities such as Health Education Sessions, Disease Screening Programs, School Health Check ups and other Community Welfare Activities. |

Students Facilities
The college has two well ventilated lecture halls, equipped with modern audio visual aids, including LCD projectors.
There is a central library with a floor space of 800 sq.mt. with seating arrangements for 100 students for reading and having good lighting and ventilation and space for stocking and display of books and journals. it is an ideal place to maintain one's intellectual horizons.
The library has a collection of over 10,000 books & back issues of national and international journals. There is also a fully automated Photostat machine which can be utilized by the students for academic purposes. There is an audio-visual hall with provisions for LCD projection. The library has internet facility with broad band connection.
Extra curricular facility include, playground for outdoor games and indoor games like table tennis, caroms and chess, there is a gymnasium with a health instructor.
the college offers a very comfortable single room accommodation to the students and separate hostel for boys and girls within the campus under the care of resident wardens. The hostel provides hygienic and quality food to the students.
a comfortable mess hall has also been provided. The hostel rooms are provided with table, chairs, cupboards, beds and attached bath. The other common facilities include availability of telephone, and television.
Students should stay in the Hostel. The College and Hostel are a part of the Trust and with prescribed Rules and regulations to be followed by the students. |

Students Admission
The KMCT MEDICAL COLLEGE admits 100 students annually for the MBBS Program approved by the Medical Council of India. Of the 100 seats, 50 are filled up by the government allocations and 50 by the management, of which 15 are reserved for Non Resident Indians (NRIs)
The selection of students to Medical College shall be based solely on merit and all management quota candidates should appear for the Common Entrance Test.
The rank list will be prepared based the Common Medical Entrance Test and Personal Interview and Aptitude Tests. No Candidate shall be admitted to the First YEAR of M.B.B.S. Degree Course unless he/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of Admission to the Course.
Qualifications include Higher secondary Examinations or The Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination, after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of study comprising PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND BIOLOGY with ENGLISH at a level not less than the core Course for English. |
