Pharmacology

Bridging molecules and medicine — how drugs work, where they act, and why they matter.

About the Department

The Department of Pharmacology trains students to understand the action of drugs on biological systems. The curriculum covers general, systemic, and clinical pharmacology along with toxicology principles.

Through a blend of theory, experimental pharmacology exercises, and case-based learning, students develop the knowledge needed to support rational drug therapy and patient safety.

Key Focus Areas

  • General and systemic pharmacology
  • Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
  • Clinical pharmacology and rational drug use
  • Toxicology and adverse drug reactions
