National Cadet Corps

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure, and ideals of selfless service among young citizens.

The NCC unit at KMCT Polytechnic College was established in 2013 with 106 cadets under 30 Kerala Battalion NCC, Group Headquarters at Calicut. Within four years the unit moulded about 35 cadets with national accreditation; cadets have attended Republic Day parade, National Games, and National Trekking. The unit earned the NCC commendation award twice.

KMCT Polytechnic has its own firing range, supported by KMCT management. A band troop was established in 2014 under Director Prof. N. Kumudini. The college hosted the prestigious state-level NCC camp twice with about 1,000 cadets participating.

Cadets have excelled academically — including top scorers in diploma examinations. The unit plans an NCC Alumni association and a KMCT PTC NCC magazine, continuing its journey under KMCT management, Principal Mr. Udayan C, and ANO Lt. Amaljith C.S.
