Eligibility
1. Basic Academic Qualifications
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed their education under the 10+2+3 pattern and meet one of the following academic thresholds:
- General Degrees (B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com.)
- A minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent grade) in your aggregate total, OR a minimum of 50% marks in Part III (Core/Main subject).
- Postgraduate Candidates
- If you do not meet the undergraduate marks threshold, you are eligible if you hold a Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks.
- Engineering & Technology (B.E. / B.Tech.)
- Graduates with a specialization in Science and Mathematics are eligible but must have secured a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Integrated Programs
- Candidates holding an Integrated M.A./M.Sc. (10+2+5 pattern) or M.Com./MBA (10+2+3+2 pattern) must have secured a minimum of 50% marks.

3. Category-Wise Marks Relaxation
In accordance with government and university norms, the following relaxations apply to the minimum marks requirement:
- SC / ST Candidates
- No minimum percentage is required; a pass in the qualifying degree is sufficient.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
- A pass in the qualifying degree is sufficient.
- OBC / SEBC / OEC Candidates
- A relaxation of 5% marks from the general minimum requirement is granted.
4. Equivalency & Additional Documentation
- Other Universities
- Candidates who graduated from a university outside Kerala, or any university other than the University of Calicut, must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by the University of Calicut at the time of admission.
- Specialized Degrees
- Applicants holding Double Main, Triple Main, or Vocational degrees must also provide an Equivalency Certificate verifying that their specific degree is valid for their chosen B.Ed. pedagogy.
5. Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for admission to the B.Ed. program.

Admission process and eligibility criteria
The general procedure for admission is as follows.

Attested copies of the following certificates have to be produced along with the application form:
- • S.S.L.C. (to prove their name and age)
- • Transfer Certificate
- • Degree certificate /provisional certificate
- • Mark list
- • Community certificate for SC/ST students and OBC should be obtained from Tahsildar
- • Nativity Certificate
