About Department

The Civil Engineering Department was established in 2009 and offers B.Tech Civil Engineering with an annual intake of 60 students. The department also hosts the M.Tech Environmental Engineering programme, delivered with shared faculty expertise and laboratory resources.

Students gain strong foundations in structural, environmental, geotechnical, transportation, and construction management disciplines, with access to modern laboratories and design tools.

Program Educational Objectives

Graduates will be able to:

1 Understand and evaluate technical and practical concepts related to the development of various fields in civil engineering such as design, construction management, environmental engineering, and sustainability.
2 Perform duties efficiently, effectively, and ethically at the individual level and also at the group level in a versatile team contributing to the welfare of society.
3 Learn and adopt recent innovative technology by continuously updating their knowledge through lifelong learning, achieving individual and organizational growth.

Program Specific Outcomes

Be proficient in identifying problems related to Civil Engineering and perform effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Apply suitable techniques, resources, and modern Engineering tools like CADD and STAAD.
Solve problems in the structural, environmental, geotechnical, transportation, water resources, hydraulics, and construction management disciplines of Civil Engineering.

CADD Lab

Computer-aided drafting and design using industry-standard software.

Survey Lab

Land surveying using theodolites, levels, and modern instruments.

Environmental Engineering Lab

Water quality testing, wastewater analysis, and environmental monitoring.
