Cancelling a payment, an application, or an admission.
A payment made through this website cannot be cancelled or reversed by the payer once the transaction has been completed successfully. There is no "cancel transaction" facility, because the payment is credited immediately against the student's fee record.
Where a payment was made in error - a duplicate, an excess, or a payment against the wrong record - it is dealt with as a refund under the Refund Policy, not as a cancellation.
A transaction that fails, is abandoned before completion, or times out is treated as not having taken place. No fee is credited, and any amount debited is reversed by the bank.
An application may be withdrawn before admission is confirmed. The application fee is not refundable.
A student who wishes to cancel an admission must submit a written request to the Principal of the College, together with the fee receipts and any original documents issued by the College. The admission is cancelled with effect from the date the written request is received. Any refund due is then processed under the Refund Policy and the applicable regulatory norms - cancellation of an admission does not by itself create a right to a refund of the full fee paid.
A written cancellation request is acknowledged in writing, with a reference number, within 3 working days of receipt. The admission is cancelled with effect from the date the request is received, not the date it is processed.
The College informs the student in writing of the outcome - the effective date of cancellation, the documents returned, and the refund determined under the Refund Policy - within 15 working days of receipt of a complete request.
The College does not retain a student's original school or institution leaving certificate, mark list, migration certificate or any other original document in order to compel a student to continue an admission. Doing so is prohibited by the regulatory bodies.
Where an admission is cancelled or withdrawn, all original documents submitted by the student are returned within 7 working days of the written cancellation request being received, against acknowledgement. Documents are returned to the student, or to a parent or guardian, or to a person holding a written authorisation from the student, on production of photo identification.
The return of original documents is not conditional on the refund having been settled, and is not conditional on any dues, except where the regulatory norm applicable to the programme expressly provides otherwise.
A Transfer Certificate is issued on cancellation of an admission, in the form prescribed by the affiliating university, within 15 working days of the written request, once dues other than the fee under refund have been cleared. A Migration Certificate is issued in accordance with the rules of the affiliating university.
The College may cancel an admission where:
Where an admission is cancelled because the College or the regulatory authority denies eligibility, the fee paid is refunded in full.
Where an admission is cancelled because the documents submitted were false or forged, or because the fee due was not paid within the notified time, the refund is determined by the refund norm of the All India Council for Technical Education and the affiliating university.
Hostel accommodation, transport and mess are separate services and may be cancelled without cancelling the admission.
A request to vacate a hostel, to discontinue transport, or to discontinue the mess must be made in writing to the Warden or the office concerned. The service is discontinued from the end of the month in which the request is received, or from a later date requested by the student.
Charges for the period already used are not refundable. Charges paid in advance for a period after the effective date of discontinuation are refunded or adjusted against the next instalment, on a monthly pro-rata basis. A hostel caution deposit is dealt with under the Refund Policy.
Re-admission to a hostel after discontinuation is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.
If a programme does not run, every amount paid towards that programme is refunded in full.
