Terms governing use of this website and the online payment facility.
This website is operated by Komath Mehboob Charitable Trust ("KMCT", "we", "us", "our") for KMCT College of Engineering for Women, Kallanthode ("the College"). By using this website, or by making a payment through it, you accept these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website or the online payment facility.
These Terms are to be read together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, the Cancellation Policy, the Service Delivery Policy and the Grievance Redressal Policy published on this website. Together they form the whole of the agreement between you and KMCT in relation to the use of this website and the online payment facility, and they replace anything said or written earlier on the same subject.
These Terms do not govern your admission or your studies. Those are governed by the rules of the College, the affiliating university and the All India Council for Technical Education.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter - student name, admission or register number, programme, academic year, and the fee head being paid. The College credits a payment against the student record identified by the details entered. If a payment is made against the wrong student or the wrong fee head because of incorrect details, the College will make reasonable efforts to correct the entry once informed, but is not responsible for any delay or consequence arising from the error.
Official communication about your application, admission, fees and academic matters is sent to the email address and mobile number recorded in your student record, and is published in your portal account. Notices published on the website apply from the date they are published.
You are responsible for keeping your contact details current, and for checking your portal account and the website for updates. The College is not responsible for a consequence arising from a notice not reaching you because your contact details were out of date or incorrect.
Where a message is sent by SMS, WhatsApp or any other channel, it is a convenience and not a substitute for the notice published in the portal or on the website.
A photograph is collected as part of the student record and is used for identification, the identity card, examination records and institutional administration.
The College will not use your photograph, name or likeness in a prospectus, an advertisement, a website page, a social media post or any other promotional material unless you have given separate written consent for that use. That consent is asked for separately from the application, is optional, does not affect your admission, and may be withdrawn at any time by writing to the College. Withdrawal applies to future use; material already printed or published before the withdrawal may take time to be replaced or removed.
Where the student is under 18, this consent is given by a parent or guardian.
An application, a seat offered, and an admission are personal to the student named. They cannot be transferred, assigned or substituted to another person, and a fee paid for one student cannot be transferred to another student.
Payments are processed by a bank-approved payment gateway. The gateway's own terms apply to the transaction between you and the gateway. The College does not control the gateway's systems and is not responsible for a failure, delay or interruption in the gateway's service, beyond crediting a payment once it is confirmed and processing a refund where one is due under the Refund Policy.
Making an application, or being offered a seat, does not by itself confirm admission. Admission to the College is confirmed only when the admission fee is paid in full and the payment is confirmed as successful. Academic and other fees fall due thereafter as notified by the College.
The College makes reasonable efforts to keep the website and the payment facility available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The facility may be unavailable due to maintenance, bank or gateway downtime, network failure, or events outside the College's control. The College is not liable for any loss arising from such unavailability. Where a payment deadline is affected by a prolonged outage, the College may extend the deadline at its discretion.
Where you are given an account on the student portal, the login credentials are personal to you. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account.
Do not share your credentials with anyone, including another student. If you believe someone else has obtained access to your account, tell the College immediately and change your password.
The College may suspend an account where it has reason to believe the credentials have been compromised or misused, and will tell you when it does so.
The content of this website and the portal - text, images, logos, institutional names and marks - belongs to KMCT or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
Study material, notes, recorded lectures, question papers and any other content made available to you through the portal or a learning platform are provided for your personal academic use during your programme. They may not be copied, shared, uploaded, sold or used for any commercial purpose.
If you have a complaint about this website, the payment facility, a fee entry or a refund, raise it under the Grievance Redressal Policy published on this website. The Grievance Officer's contact details are set out there and in the Privacy Policy.
To the extent permitted by law, the College's liability in connection with the website and the online payment facility is limited to the amount of the transaction in question. The College is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
No waiver. If the College does not enforce a right on one occasion, it does not give up that right.
Consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be contracted out of. The clause on jurisdiction below does not prevent you from approaching a consumer forum where the law allows you to do so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kozhikode, Kerala.
The College may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this website is the version in force.
