Welcome to KMCT Engineering College

KMCT College of Engineering was established in the year 2001 by the KMCT (Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust), based in Kozhikode, Kerala. It is affiliated to AICTE and University of Calicut. It is currently affiliated to APJ Abdul KalamTechnological University, from 2015 onwards.

KMCT College of Engineering is full of like-minded individuals looking forward with the common goal of increased career potentials and brighter future. We offer 7 UG courses (B. Tech programmes) as well as 3 PG courses including MBA, MCA and M. Tech programmes. The working environment is such professional that students as well as faculty are inspired and supported to attain high standards in their chosen career path.

Faculties, with their impressive academic and industrial experience lead the students to achieve excellence and competence. Over these years of our existence and presence, the institute has attained a remarkable place in the field of technical education in the state. The KMCT is managed by the Managing Trustee and Founder Chairman, Dr. K. Moidu. The trust runs medical and technical institutions like KMCT Medical College, KMCT Dental College, KMCT College and School of Nursing, KMCT Ayurveda Medical College, KMCT College of Engineering for Women, KMCT Polytechnic College, to name a few.

KMCT Group

The Komath Mehboob Charitable Trust - KMCT was established in 1994 by Dr. K. Moidu a leading medical practitioner and a visionary educationist for imparting quality education in different professional fields.The first institute to come up under KMCT was the National College of Pharmacy in 1994 and from this humble beginning, there are now more than 22 professional and non-professional institutions in 4 different campuses, that is in Kallanthode, Manassery, Pooladikunnu Campuses at Kozhikode district and Kuttipuram campus in Malappuram district. More than 9000 students studies in these campuses.

Dr. Kavitha S. Murugesan

With over 21 years of distinguished experience in teaching, academic leadership, and administration, Dr. Kavitha S. Murugesan currently serves as the Principal of KMCT College of Engineering, Kozhikode. Her career reflects a commitment to academic excellence, innovative education practices, and institutional development. Prior to her current role, she held several leadership positions, including Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Dean Academics at AWH Engineering College, Kozhikode. She also served as Vice Principal and Head of the Department of CSE at Vedavyasa Institute of Technology, Malappuram, where she led key academic and institutional initiatives from 2005 to 2014.

Kerala Vidhya Bhushan Puraskar Nominee (2022-2023) in the Best Vice Principal and Educationist category by GSF, Hyderabad.
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Lifetime Achievement Award (2021) by NITI AYOG - National Institute for Socio Economic Development.
Sadhguru Award for Best Teacher by Calicut University (2014) and Best Teacher Award by Vedavyasa Trust (2008).
