Responsibilities

  • Promote access to the library’s services and informational resources for all users.
  • Provide appropriate documentation services and regularly update the library's collection.
  • Work towards the modernization and improvement of both the library and its documentation services.
  • Formulate policies and procedures to ensure the effective use of all library resources.
  • Implement measures to increase the number of readers and overall library usage.
  • Prepare a budget detailing the book requirements for each academic department and submit it to the finance committee.
  • Procure books in sufficient quantities well ahead of the beginning of each academic semester.
  • Provide and maintain the reading room facility for study and research.
  • Provide and maintain Internet access facilities for users in the library.
  • Manage the library operations utilizing a specialized Library Management System.
