Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech Regular (from admissions.php tab 1)

  • o Applicants should pass Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an Examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least 45% marks in Mathematics separately and 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/equivalent subjects in aggregate or equivalent grade. OBC/SEBC candidates should secure minimum 40% and a minimum pass % is sufficient for SC/ST.
  • o Additionally, candidates should clear Kerala state entrance examination(KEAM) / Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
  • o For NRI Quota candidates are not required to appear for the entrance examination. NRI Sponsor should have a valid Passport & Employment Visa. The Management is entitled to fill up 15% seats in the NRI category.

B.Tech Lateral (from admissions.php tab 2)

  • o Should have cleared a 3 year Diploma course approved by Government of Kerala.
  • o Should clear the Lateral Entry Test (LET) conducted by DTE, Kerala.

M.Tech (from admissions.php tab 3)

  • o Candidates should have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Engineering Degree examination. For SEBC (OBC) students, a minimum of 54% marks is mandatory. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient. Candidates with valid gate score will be given attractive scholarships.
  • o Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he / she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam. Confirmation of admission of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree -before the date stipulated by the affiliated University.

MBA (from admissions.php tab 4)

  • o Any recognized Bachelor's degree with a valid CMAT/CAT /KMAT score. Candidates should secure minimum 50% marks in aggregate for graduation in case of general category, 45% for OBC/SEBC and a minimum pass % is sufficient for SC/ST.

Admission Process

  • o Valid KMAT/CMAT/CAT Score, Group Discussion, Personal Interview.

MCA (from admissions.php tab 10)

  • o Candidates should have passed any recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10, +2 level or at graduate level.
  • o For General Category, the candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% mark in their Degree examination (No rounding off percentage of marks to the nearest integer is permitted).
  • o For candidates belonging to reserved category - SEBC/OBC a minimum aggregate of only 45% mark is required in their Degree examination. (No rounding off percentage of marks to the nearest integer is permitted).
  • o For SC and ST candidates, a minimum pass in the Degree examination is sufficient.
  • o The candidate should be qualified from any of the universities in Kerala or any other Universities, recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala.
  • o The candidate should also qualify the MCA entrance examination conducted by LBS Centre for Science and Technology.
  • o Candidates seeking admission to the course have to apply online through the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in of the Director of LBS Centre for Science and technology.

Admission Process

  • o Valid Entrance Score, Personal Interview.

How to Apply

  • o Follow the eligibility criteria for your programme category (B.Tech Regular, B.Tech Lateral, M.Tech, MBA, or MCA) as published on the backed-up admissions page.
  • o Students should submit their application in the prescribed form available at the college office or download the form from the website - www.kmctcollegeofengineering.org.
  • o MCA candidates seeking admission have to apply online through the website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in of the Director of LBS Centre for Science and technology (as stated on the backed-up admissions page).

Important Dates

The backed-up admissions.php file does not include an Important Dates or application deadline block. Add dates when provided from official KTU/LBS notices.

Documents Required

The following list is taken from the Documents Required section of the MCA tab on the backed-up admissions.php (same list appears in the Merit / Government Quota accordion there).

  • o Admit card of entrance examination
  • o Allotment memo
  • o SSLC or any relevant school records to prove date of birth
  • o Originals of Degree Certificate and Mark list of all parts of the qualifying exam
  • o Originals of Certificates, the copies of which are enclosed with the print out of application form.
  • o Transfer certificate and conduct certificate from the institution where the candidate studied last.
  • o Two copies of passport size photograph of the candidate.
  • o Candidate who passed their qualification examination from Universities/Boards outside the State shall produce "Eligibility Certificate / Equivalency certificate" from any of the Universities in Kerala.
  • o Applicant who is employed or trainee in Government service, Scheduled bank etc, should produce, at the time of interview, a relieving order and a certificate of good conduct from the Head of the office where the applicant is employed.
  • o The student who qualifies from other universities should produce migration certificate at the time of admission

Hostel Information

Separate Hostel for Boys and Girls, are taken care by Warden and proper security monitoring is offered. There is telephonic access to all rooms but mobile phone is banned in the College.
