National Service Scheme (NSS)

About

National Service Scheme (NSS) is a central sector scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity for student youth to take part in various government-led community service programmes and helps build character, discipline, leadership, and human values.

NSS unit of KMCT College of Engineering, active since 2012, is one of the prominent units in Kerala. The team leads various social initiatives such as feeding the hungry, blood donation, palliative care, water conservation, and renovating public assets. Volunteers also take part in national NSS camps and forest camps.

Motto: Not Me But You

The motto of NSS reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service. NSS helps students develop appreciation for others' viewpoints and consideration towards other living beings.
